A Service Page Content Worksheet
Direct answer
Complete one worksheet per service before writing the page: the exact customer question the page answers, a two-sentence direct answer, what is included and not included, honest price guidance, three real FAQs, and proof a stranger could verify. A page planned this way gives AI tools extractable facts and gives customers reasons to call.
How Do You Use This Template?
Work through the fields below for one service at a time, in a document or on paper. If you use a professional writer, pair this worksheet with the AI Search Content Brief Template, which turns your answers into instructions; this worksheet is the owner-thinking that has to happen first.
What Does the Template Include?
The customer question
The single question, in the customer's own words, that this page exists to answer. If you cannot phrase it, the page has no job yet.
Example: "Who can replace a furnace in Newmarket this week?"
The direct answer
Two sentences that answer the question plainly, written exactly as they should open the page.
Example: "We replace residential furnaces across Newmarket and northern York Region, usually within the week. Licensed, insured, and priced by written quote before any work starts."
Included and not included
Bullet what the service covers and what it explicitly does not, because the exclusions prevent mismatched enquiries and give AI tools boundaries to quote.
Example: Included: removal, installation, permits. Not included: ductwork redesign, which is quoted separately.
Price guidance
The honest range or starting point, plus what moves the number. Publish what you can defend; skip fabricated precision.
Example: "Replacements typically start at a stated price, depending on home size and equipment choice, confirmed by written quote."
Three real FAQs
The three questions customers actually ask before booking this service, each answered in two or three sentences with the answer first.
Example: How fast can you come? Do you take away the old unit? Is financing available?
Verifiable proof
Licence numbers, certifications with issuing bodies, years doing this specific service, and review sources. Only what a careful stranger could check.
Example: A provincial registration number, years installing this equipment type, and a link to reviews that mention this service.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the content brief template?
This worksheet captures what only the owner knows: the real question, the honest boundaries, the true price logic. The content brief template then packages those answers as instructions for whoever writes the page. Owner thinking first, writing instructions second.
Do I need a separate page for every service?
For every service customers search for separately, yes. If nobody ever asks for two services independently, they can share a page; if they search differently, they deserve different pages.
